Project Description

We just finished our work on developing the first dock-like application that can hold several applications and their different versions in just one application icon.

BrowserChooser 0.2. is a Java-based free-ware tool and was designed to integrate your multi-browser environment. Nevertheless it can handle almost every application or even a single file almost like a real dock-application e.g. YZDock!

You can run the application Out-Of-The-Box. No installation needed, but we recommend to create a seperate application folder, because BrowserChooser creates files and folder for configuration, preferences and languages.

Requirements:
- Java 5 (compiled for and recommended)
- Windows XP (compiled for and recommended, NOT tested on Vista and Windows 7)
- Mac OS X (NOT supported yet)

Version - v0.2.15

- visually indicates drag&drop on application icons in the dock

Bug fixes:

Bugs (Windows XP):
- pop-up menus does not disappear when focus lost
- drag & drop linked files does not save the path to the program, but the link instead (not really a bug, but not desired)
Bugs (MAC OS X / Unix):

- drag & drop causes Exception while creating and scaling application image

Version - v0.2.13

Bugs (MAC OS X / Unix):

NOTE: This is the first major BETA release that has been fully tested only on Windows XP SP2 with Java jre1.5.0_12. Therefore other operating systems, especially Mac OS X, are currently not tested or supported but will be in future releases. Please feel free to use the source code and compile against your system. We would like to hear your feedback.
